2021 Toyota Avalon vs 2021 Mazda6

2021 Toyota Avalon vs 2021 Mazda6

The Toyota Avalon occupies a special spot in the full-size sedan segment, for it is one of the most affordable compared to its high-priced competition. And what makes it that much more special is that it offers a wide variety of comfort and convenience features making it worth every penny you spend on it. That said, the niche premium full-size market has a lot of competition, with the Mazda6 proving to be a fitting rival to the Avalon. Let’s look at what makes the 2021 Avalon better than the Mazda6.

The Toyota Avalon gets a few notable additions to the 2021 model year, such as introducing an all-wheel-drive system and a Nightshade edition for the XSE trim, adding Android Auto™ to the infotainment system, and updating the battery pack in the hybrid model to a lithium-ion system. The Avalon is available in eight trims – XLE, XLE Hybrid, XSE Nightshade, XSE Hybrid, TRD, Touring, Limited, and Limited Hybrid. Planning to go ahead with the 2021 Toyota Avalon? Advantages of the 2021 Avalon over the Mazda6

From the table above, it is quite clear that the 2021 Avalon overthrows the Mazda6 in the power department by leaps and bounds. This helps the Avalon to overpower the Mazda6 in the performance department with a 0 – 60 MPH time of six seconds compared to the sluggish 7.1 seconds of the Mazda6. The Avalon might not have as much fuel economy as the Mazda6, but the extra power output of more than 100-horsepower makes it a lot more interesting to drive.

Coming to its interior features, the 2021 Avalon boasts a passenger volume of 104.3 cubic feet, much more than what the Mazda6 offers, making it a lot more comfortable. The Toyota Avalon offers a host of features such as a nine-inch touchscreen display, Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, Satellite Radio, Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi Hotspot, five USB ports, HD Radio, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, and push-button start, making it more interesting than the Mazda6.
